Renggpass and Loppertrail

A short, rewarding trail ride on the Lopper. The ascent is on asphalt; the final minutes to the crossing are pushed back. After that, there is a smooth or steeper descent.

Tour description

01

To the Reng Pass

From Alpnachstad or Hergiswil, you drive up the mountain roads. Shortly before the pass, the bike is pushed about ten minutes up the road.

Eastern exit

The descent to Lopperstrasse is usually smooth. A few blocked sections and short uphill sections provide variety.

Option after Alpnach

The direct line to Alpnach is steeper and technically more challenging.

Requirements

Good basic technique on single-track trails. For direct descent to Alpnach, more experience is required.

  • Take into account hikers.
  • Avoid the steep variant when it is wet.
