For many locals, the Haldigrat is Central Switzerland's true freeride paradise. The small ski resort above Niederrickenbach does without groomed freeride slopes and instead offers countless natural lines, couloirs and wide powder slopes.

Route description
From the Haldigrat chairlift, numerous options open up towards Niederrickenbach or into the Engelberg valley. Depending on the snow conditions, various gullies, slopes and forest runs can be combined.
Short counter-climbs allow additional peaks and runs to be reached. It is precisely this combination of lifts and short hikes that makes the Haldigrat one of the most versatile freeride areas in the region.
