Freeride Titlis Sulz
The Sulz is one of the most versatile freeride areas around Engelberg. Between Jochpass and Trübsee, there are numerous variations, couloirs and terrain pockets for beginners and experienced freeriders alike.
Directly from the Jochstock chairlift, you can reach varied slopes, small couloirs and playful terrain features. The Kleine Sulz is suitable for initial freeride experiences. In the Mittleres and Grosses Sulz, experienced riders will find more demanding lines and steeper couloirs.

Route description Titlis Sulz
Take the chairlift up to the Jochstock
The various Sulz lines can be accessed directly from the Jochpass and the Jochstock mountain station. Depending on ability and conditions, it is decided before entering whether the Small, Medium or Large Sulz is suitable.
Small, Medium or Large Sulz
The Kleine Sulz offers manageable slopes, knolls and hollows. Many playful lines and several couloirs open up in the Mittlere Sulz. The Grosse Sulz leads through more expansive terrain below the Reissend Nollen.
Couloirs for experienced freeriders
Adrenalin Couloir, Flaschen Couloir, S-Couloir and Leffe’s Limit branch off from the Sulz terrain. These lines are significantly steeper and more demanding. Entrance and exit must be clear before dropping in.
Back towards Trübsee
The various options lead back towards Trübsee and the facilities. This allows several tracks to be ridden in a single day and the difficulty to be increased step by step.
Small, Medium and Large Sulz offer possibilities for different ability levels. The Small Sulz is considered a good beginner option. Those looking for more challenge will find steeper lines, exciting couloirs and numerous variations in the Medium and Large Sulz.

Variants in the Titlis Sulz
Kleines Sulz
The Kleine Sulz is considered a good beginner-friendly option for off-piste terrain. From Jochpass, you ski back towards the base station of the chairlift via playful slopes with numerous small mounds and hollows.

Adrenaline Couloir
One of the most famous lines in the Sulz. The entrance is after the first half of the Middle Sulz. The couloir is steep and narrow and, in good conditions, offers an impressive descent.

Bottles Couloir
The entry point is located after the first half of the Middle Sulz. The couloir narrows towards the bottom and requires a secure choice of line.

The Sulz is perfect for getting to know progressively more demanding freeride lines step by step. Whilst the Kleine Sulz is also suitable for solid off-piste skiers, couloirs such as the Adrenalin Couloir or Leffe’s Limit demand significantly more experience.
After fresh snow, the various terrain pockets often offer excellent conditions for several days.
