The Sulz is one of the most versatile freeride areas around Engelberg. Between Jochpass and Trübsee, you'll find countless routes, couloirs, and terrain features for beginners and experienced freeriders alike.
Directly from the Jochstock chairlift, you reach varied slopes, small couloirs, and playful terrain features. While the Kleine Sulz offers ideal conditions for first freeride experiences, experienced riders will find more challenging lines and steeper couloirs in the Mittleren and Grossen Sulz.

The Sulz, the play area
The small, medium and large Sulz offer numerous opportunities for freeriders of all skill levels. Varied slopes, small couloirs and playful terrain bowls can be reached directly from the Jochstock chairlift.
The Kleine Sulz is considered the ideal beginner option for your first experiences off-piste. Those looking for more of a challenge will find numerous steeper lines, exciting couloirs, and countless variations in the Mittlere and Grosse Sulz.

Variations in Titlis Sulz
Small brawn
The Kleine Sulz is considered a good beginner's option for off-piste terrain. From the Jochpass, you ski back down towards the valley station of the chairlift via playful slopes with many small humps and hollows.

Middle Sulz
The Mittlere Sulz invites you to play. From the Jochstock mountain station, numerous options lead through small couloirs, wide slopes and varied terrain bowls.

Large amount
The Grosse Sulz leads into spacious terrain below the Reissend Nollen. Over open slopes, one reaches the large valley, where the various routes converge again.

Adrenalin Couloir
One of the best-known routes in the Sulz. The approach is after the first half of the Middle Sulz.
The couloir is steep, narrow and offers impressive freeride descents in good conditions.

Bottles Couloir
The entry is located after the first half of the Middle Sulz. The couloir narrows towards the bottom and requires a secure choice of route.

S-Couloir
The most well-known couloir in the Sulz area. The entry is to the left of the Bottle Couloir.

Leffe's Limit
A rarely used variant in the left section of the Sulz. Depending on conditions, a short abseil is set up.

Tips from the mountain guide
The Sulz is perfect for gradually getting to know more demanding freeride lines. While the Kleine Sulz is also suitable for solid off-piste riders, couloirs like the Adrenalin Couloir or Leffe’s Limit require significantly more experience.
Following fresh snowfall, the different terrain bowls often provide excellent conditions for several days.
