Grotzliweg in Fürenalp
In the Engelberg dialect, a Grotzli means a young fir tree. The Grotzliweg is a perfect route for families and nature lovers. Besides the incredibly beautiful views of the alpine landscape, there are around ten stations along the route with information on animals, plants, rocks, and stories from the area. Back at the station, the beautiful restaurant invites you to linger and enjoy the food.

Route description
Start at the mountain station
The circular route starts directly at the Fürenalp mountain station and follows the clearly marked signs of the nature trail.
Through the world of glaciers
The stations explain plants, animals, rocks, water, and the traces of glaciers in the landscape.
Through Alpine meadows and mountain forests
The route alternates between open alpine areas, small water bodies and sections with mountain forest.
Back to the Fürenalp
The tour ends again at the mountain station and mountain restaurant.
