Route description

The via ferrata leads you first to the Schafberg. There is already a starting point here. The further route to the Graustock Wintergipfel is steeper and more challenging; for this section, K4–5 is indicated.

Takeoff, flight and landing

The winter summit is described as a starting point for a trip south. The return flight to Engelberg can be made via the Jochpass or along the Graustock North Wall.

Safety and conditions

Distinguish the earlier start option at Schafberg from the more demanding K4–5 route. Check the current conditions and the opening of the trail.

Check the weather, wind, thermals, current airspace, and temporary restrictions before the tour. Ensure start and landing options as well as the return route in case you cannot fly. The maps show the route; local signs and current area information should be checked before the flight.
