Starting point and entrance
The route starts on the Fürenalp. In the first half, you follow a simple hiking trail through meadows.
Route description
In the second half, the terrain becomes more alpine. Steeper rock slabs require short climbing passages. Around the halfway point, there is a climbing garden on the way.
Takeoff, flight and landing
The summit start is demanding and described only for very experienced pilots. The alternative is 200 meters lower on meadows. The flight leads back to Engelberg.
Safety and conditions
Judge the summit start independently and, if necessary, use the lower meadow start. The 200 m descent is included in the route description.
Check the weather, wind, thermals, current airspace, and temporary restrictions before the tour. Ensure start and landing options as well as the return route in case you cannot fly. The maps show the route; local signs and current area information should be checked before the flight.
