The flight area
On the sunny side of Engelberg, the three starting points are Härzlisee, Tümpfeli and Schonegg. The combination of cable car and chairlift makes the area accessible; the differences between the starting points remain decisive when choosing a starting point.
The guide describes early thermic conditions and entry points east of Tümpfeli, at the Rigidal and east of Ristis. For the descent round, the right conditions, sufficient altitude and an independent flight plan are required.
